The confirmed word has been given in by owner Matt Knicks that Illinois-based
Bridgeview Wrestling Association (BWA) is on the verge of folding after its
last event on June 27 called BWA: Graduation. The cause for the decision to
bring demise to the federation rested on a claim of unfortunate events as
further details are refused to be placed forward. This move also effects
Northern Illinois Wrestling Alliance (NIWA), a federation ran in connection
which looks to the same fate. Alex Ohlson went on to address public speculation
of retirement saying that the federation closures doesn't mean everyone are
calling for retirement from the practice.
In addition, another federation Mundelein Syndicate Wrestling (MSW) have also
confirmed via Jason Fierce that they are closing down. Their last show will be
taped on June 25.
